D&AD New Blood 2011

After a successful week of showcasing my work at this years degree show at the University of Huddersfield, it is time to dismantle my exhibit in time for D&AD New Blood, London next weekend. It looks to be a full on weekend with young designers from around the UK showcasing their best work. It is especially an exciting weekend for myself, as D&AD I have already arranged a portfolio critic session with Corridor and Sony. Exciting times!

Degree Show '11

The aim of this short two week brief was to design a visual identity for this years Communication Design degree show at the University of Huddersfield. We had to take into consideration the three major disciplines within the Communication Design course. These had to be easily and clearly identified as a way of communication to the unknown passer by.

Below is my own response to the brief, which I believe is clear, sophisticated and answers the brief. Further treatments were made to the brief but here are a selection of images which give you a general understanding of the outcome.

Turning Moments into Memories

Alexandra International Hotel and Resorts, (a fictional hotel chain) recently wished to produce a brand identity and visual style for a major new hotel which will be launched in London, England on Friday 15th July 2011. The objectives for this brief were to launch the Alexandra International brand. Create an awareness of the grand opening of the hotel, whilst also identifying the hotel chain as an established brand.
Below is my personal outcome which would be sent out to agents of high profile clients and customers.

Royal Academy Theatre, Manchester

Here is some past work I created during second year of University. The brief was to create your own individual creative book, expressing your skills as a Graphic Designer. The digital version can be found at http://issuu.com/pabdesign/docs/journeys.
As part of this book I set myself a self written brief, to produce a series of posters for a fictional theatre. Below are some of my final outcomes.
The images used are my own photographs.
